We don’t share a lot of deals and sales here, but one of our very favorite American-made products, Tervis Tumblers, is having a rare one-day sale today, 10/16/13. Using code 1DAY25 on their website, you can get 25% off.
Catching this sale is a big deal to me because, I’ll be honest, I love Tervis Tumblers but they are not the cheapest casual cups out there. I own them, I love them, I know they are absolutely worth it, but if I want to buy a bunch, getting that 25% off is key.
What are Tervis Tumblers?
If you don’t know about them, you’ll have to trust me until you try one, but Tervis Tumblers have a dedicated following in the humid south where condensation pours off of cold drinks. The Tervis double walled construction provides unbelieveable insulation and protection from water rings on furniture. They are a staple in every beach house I’ve ever set foot in. I was delighted to learn that they work equally well to insulate hot liquids. We tossed all of our travel mugs and replaced them with just a few Tervis cups with travel lids. On my list for this sale are some bigger tumblers with sports lids. I think my drawer full of water bottles is about to get cleared out in favor of Tervis.
What else should I know about Tervis?
Tervis was founded in Michigan and is now made in Florida. One thing that clearly demonstrates their status as high-quality American-made: Tervis Tumblers come with a lifetime guarantee. Yes, seriously. Who would ever imagine a lifetime guarantee on plastic cups? It’s true, and while we are talking about plastic, I’ll mention that they are made of crystal clear polymer that is BPA-free.
How do I use Tervis Tumblers?
I’m a little boring in that I buy just the plain tumblers, but the are available in a stunning array of designs. The designs are not printed on the plastic but rather suspended between the layers. I do love the new jewel toned tumblers pictured above so it might be time to branch out. They are excellent enough to consider replacing your everyday glasses. As I mentioned, we use them for our coffee and I’m buying water bottles today. They don’t break so they are great for kids. A set makes a generous, long-lasting wedding gift. Fill one up with candy, wrap it in cellophane and you have a sweet teacher gift, college care package, or hostess gift. I have lots of ideas, which is why I’ll be shopping the sale.
