When our girls would visit their paternal grandparents their Grandpa would measure their height on the shed door. He’s gone now, but the shed door is still where they lived. Our youngest daughter would love to have that shed door! This would be a good substitute….and made in the USA is even better. I’m trying to buy made in the USA more and more.

    I want American made because thats how we try to shop as much as possible. If we keep buying American made and stop buying china made we will get industries back in America. Part of our economy problem is that alot of our manufacturing plants have moved out of the US and took jobs with them. Even if we start buying small items from locals were still helping to support jobs here in the US.

  31. I love the idea of knowing that a fellow American produced the products I’m using. It makes me feel proud….like I’m doing a small part in keeping those jobs/factories/etc. on U.S. soil. Plus, it means a lot knowing WHERE the items originated or WHAT they’re made of. I’m pretty much in love with handmade items especially, and <3 that our country seems to be getting "back to its roots" in that area. My goal last year was hand-made/American-made Christmas, which I plan to do again this year.
