A DIY manicure works perfectly if you take the time to prep and select high quality nail polish or nail wraps.  Having a well manicured hand is the picture of polished.  Getting to the salon isn’t always an option but you can have the right American made manicure supplies on hand.

DIY Manicure Prep Steps

The following products and prep steps are a mini manicure, designed to save time when you can’t get the full spa effect.  This will give you some of the critical benefits to maintaining beautiful hands.

  1. SCRUB
Revitalize the skin on your hands with a 1-2 minute scrub.  Shea Moisture Hand & Body Scrub is a non toxic way to shed all the dead skin and restore balance.
  2. MOISTURIZE
Always rehydrate after a good exfoliation.  Pacifica Hand Cream feels velvety and adds natural hydration and a pretty aroma. Pacifica Hand Cream is vegan, natural & cruelty free.
  3. CUTICLE CARE
This is the key to happy, healthy nails.  The condition of your cuticle will dictate (in part) how strong and long your nails are.  Rx4 Nails is a hidden gem that truly offers every bit of what is promised.  After using if only twice I was sold.  I have consistently used it for a couple months and my nails have never been this well conditioned.   It is natural, organic, 100% guaranteed and my obsession.
  4. PRIME
A healthy base coat gives polish something to adhere better too and protects your nail from color.  Some even have benefits and/or make a great glossy coat alone.  Dr’s Remedy Hydrating Treatment with Biotin does double duty and is free of all toxins.  Their nail colors are gorgeous as well.
