If you’re going to throw a themed party, I highly suggest making it a Great Gatsby or Roaring 20’s themed one. There are so many cool props and items you can find, all of which are made in the USA. Did you catch my post yesterday about American made Flapper Fashion? If you liked that one, go all out with these fun finds:
Champagne Scented Candle
Nothing quite feels like a party roaring 20’s without champagne. If you’re looking for a little piece of luxury, light a Domestic Goddess Champagne Sparkle candle, close your eyes, breathe deep, and you’d think you were sipping champagne with Gatsby himself. All Domestic Goddess candles are poured with a soy and paraffin wax blend, by owner Tiffany Palisi in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey. Enjoy your slice of luxury for 20% off with code: USALOVE.
Great Gatsby Party Invitations
I can’t image better Great Gatsby themed invites for a Roaring 20s party than these from Jack’s Master Etsy shop. Don’t you agree? All of the invitations are printed on domestic paper in San Fransisco, California. In case you didn’t think it could get better, Jack’s Master also donates a portion of its profits each year to various animal rescue organizations like the ASPCA.
Tito’s Handmade Vodka for the Perfect Prohibition Style Cocktail
To make a prohibition style cocktail, one must start with the a great small-batch spirits. I’d suggest Tito’s. If you haven’t already tried it, you’re really missing out. Their vodka is produced in Austin at Texas’ first and oldest (legal) distillery and made in small batches in an old fashioned pot still. I made a French 75 cocktail, and everyone really enjoyed it. I topped mine off with sparkling water, instead of champagne because I didn’t want it too be too sweet.
2 oz Tito’s Handmade Vodka
½ oz fresh-squeezed lemon juice
¾ oz simple syrup
Shake well with cracked ice. Strain into highball glass full of cracked ice and top off with chilled champagne or sparking water.
PartyPail Gold + Black Party Supplies
When it comes to decorating for your Great Gatsby themed party, I’d suggest making black and gold your colors. Luckily PartyPail offers made in USA paper and party supplies from plates, cups and cutlery to balloons, tissue balls and steamers. Here are a few photos of how the party was pulled together with PartyPail party supplies.

Jack’s Master Faux Cigarettes and Cigars
There really isn’t a more fun prop than these faux cigarettes and cigars from Jack’s Master. While the actual cigarettes and cigars are made abroad, Anna McClure, Jack’s Master’s art director, finishes the cigar props with glittered paper, packs and packages them with her stationary designs. See photo below for how I styled them at the party.
Captain’s Tray by Katy Skelton
What better way to show off all your cocktail equipment than on this stylish captain’s tray? Each Captain’s Tray is made from acrylic and unfinished solid brass. There are 4 plastic feet affixed to the bottom of the tray to prevent scratching your tabletop. Made in Brooklyn, New York.
Hollow Book Co.’s Hidden Flask
I’m not sure if there is a cooler prop for a Great Gatsby themed party. Secretly store your alcohol in one of these nifty flasks in a hollowed out book from Hollow Book Co. Richie, owner of Hollow Book Co., scours New York city looking for books at thrift shops, yard sales, and garage sales to make these hollowed out books. He hunts down books like any other piece of vintage collectable; many times the books are one-of-a-kind.
