Simple Crockpot Sangria Recipe With Simply Organic Spices via USALoveList.com

I found a simple recipe for a fall Sangria on  The Chic Site, and I think you'll want to try it too. Here's what you'll need:

  1. 1 bottle Cabernet Sauvignon
  2. 3 cups apple cider
  3. 2 red apples (such as gala) and 2 green apples (such as granny smith)
  4. 1 green pear
  5. 1 orange

Simply Organic Spices

  1. 4 cinnamon sticks
  2. 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  3. 1/2 teaspoon ground all-spice
  4. 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  5. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions
  • Wash the fruit really well and cut into large chunks. Place into the bowl of a slow-cooker. Add the apple cider and wine and give it a stir.
  • On a couple of layers of cheesecloth, add the spices and cinnamon sticks. Tie into a tight bundle using kitchen twine. Place the spice bag into the slow-cooker bowl along with the other ingredients.
  • At this point, you can let it sit overnight in the fridge and strain it into a pitcher to serve it cold over ice in wine glasses, or you can turn the crockpot on low for a few hours until it is warm and served it mulled in mugs. That's my favorite and it makes the house smell sooo good. Be sure to have some extra cinnamon sticks on hand for a pretty garnish.
