I really want some ribs. Don't you? Juicy, tender, flavorful ribs. I'm trying to cut down on sugar though so I didn't want an overly sweet barbecue sauce. I searched online for the best rib recipe for low carb living and really didn't find anything I liked. That's when I made up my own, and it's a winner.

I turned to an old recipe from Better Homes and Gardens magazine, for Peachy Pork Spareribs and modified the recipe to use a lot less sugar. The original recipe called for 1/2 cup and my recipe uses for 3 Tbs. Honestly, I really couldn't tell the difference – they still tasted phenomenal. I typically grill my ribs, but since it's wintertime, I baked them in the oven. I wasn't sure what to think about oven baking, but it worked. Also, the original recipe called for a peachy barbecue sauce. I didn't want to make it because it would be a lot of carbs. I looked at the grocery store for other barbecue sauces, and the lowest carbs per serving were at 11 grams. I didn't think it was worth it, so this recipe is without an accompanying sauce. I thought I'd miss the sauce, but I didn't. The ribs are so juicy and flavorful, you won't miss the sauce either!

Best Ribs for Low Carb Living, Made with Five Spice via USALoveList.com

I hear you're supposed to let meat rest after cooking. Yeah, I didn't have time for that. What I did have time to do was stuff the ribs in my mouth like I'd never seen food before. Luckily, no one was there to witness it.

I'm usually not good at following recipes, as I like to make it up as I go along, and take pride in making up my own recipes. I don't recommend it because it doesn't always work, but in this case it did. What I do recommend is you taking this recipe for a spin and letting me know what you think! Enjoy this fingerlickin' good recipe for the best ribs for low carb living.
