I just thought about Prell the other day – I can so clearly remember the bottle shape and the commercials showing a pearl descending slowly through the green shampoo – with the announcer telling us that the slow descension proves he thickness of the product. However, me and my sisters stopped using Prell because it dried out our hair – maybe there was too much detergent, meaning that it cleaned our hair really well, and had a good lather, but it was also stripping our hair of the natural oils. And now looking back and at the picture you are sharing and the description, I see a lack of cultural inclusivity, We have more awareness today which is a good thing. I called a Rep a few years ago, due to realizing formulation not the same,”skeaky-clean” feel. I was told the formulation was changed, reason not given. It is not the Prell I know from the 50’s and 60’s. I wish I could find a shampoo like it, though I know it is not for all hair types, it was perfect for mine.
