Happy happy springtime weekend. Thanks for checking out the USA Love List Weekend Recap – the best way to catch up on all the lists of products Made in the USA and everything else that was new this week.
USA Love List on Pinterest
Our biggest news is that we have launched a new USA Love List account on Pinterest. If you were following our single Made in USA board before, please click here or click that P to the right and check out our new set-up. Each of our devoted Editors had amazing pinboards of their own featuring their favorite US made products. We are now working on bringing all of those pins together into one place and collecting them into curated categories so you can follow all of them, or follow the specific topics that interest you.
The other exciting news about our new USA Love List Pinterest account is that you can join the great American treasure hunt for the very best Made in USA stuff. We're inviting you to join the USA Love List team as a contributor to our USA Love List VIP's pin board. Pin something using the Pinterest tag “@USA Love List” or just go ahead and reach out to us through our Contact Form with your Pinterest handle. We'll add you as a board contributor and you can pin your Made in USA finds. Our favorites will be repinned into our curated boards by category. By the way, if you are not on Pinterest yet and you would like an invite and a little advice on getting started, contact us – we'd be glad to help.
Reviews & Giveaways
Ok, as if that wasn't enough to report, we also posted a review of the sweet new line of Skippyjon Jones pajamas which are, we are thrilled to report, made in the USA. We are giving away a pair to one of our readers in the winner's choice of size or color. This giveaway started off with a bang. This is the first USA Love List giveaway to offer fun “Pin It to Win It” options. If you are not familiar with Skippyjon Jones, check out the review. The Skippito Bandito is VERY popular in certain circles, namely kids under 10 and the parents who read bedtime stories to them. We're excited to have him hanging around our site for the next couple of weeks. The giveaway ends on April 25th.
Meanwhile, the giveaway for a pack of trendsetting Eraselets continues for a few more days. For anyone who hangs around with school aged kids, entering these giveaways together is the way to go. Eraselets are picking up steam quickly to be the new viral kid trend because the are colorful, wearable, tradable, and functional (they are bracelets that erase!). Did we mention that kids freak out over them? Read the review to learn more.
Beauty & Fashion
We are very fortunate to have the advice of our Beauty Editor, Angie Barnes. She not only finds the highest quality American-made beauty products, she also gives solid advice on how to use them. This week, she introduced us to US made Orly nail products, showed us the trends in spring colors, and linked to her tutorial on at-home manicures.
At the beginning of the week, we got another fabulous fashion collage from our Fashion Editor Jill Homiak using all American-made style. She combined pieces from OKAb, NYDK, Ciao Nina, David Aubrey, Laura Merkin, and Presenza, showing you how to embrace the gray on rainy spring days.
Best of Ohio
Guest poster and Ohio native, Jessica Mudrick delivered a list of things made in Ohio for the latest in our popular state by state series. Share this with anyone you know from Ohio and let them know they can add their own favorites in the comments. If you would like to write about the things you love made in your home state, contact us. We'd be glad to have you!
Happy Spring!
And finally, as we go into this spring weekend, if you are feeling the urge to pick up some seasonal items to put you in a spring mood, resist the spring-styled displays in the stores – they are mostly low-quality imported goods. We picked some of our spring favorites, all made in the USA, from the Uncommon Goods catalog.
Spring is a great time to show your USA love. Happy weekend!
